Your charm will come with a plastic peel on one side of the charm to protect it from scratches in transit. (It was originally applied in the cutting process, so don't worry about it being excess packaging!) You can leave it on until it falls off, or remove it yourself at any time using a fingernail or a needle.

Acrylic charms are made of plastic, which means that they are waterproof but somewhat vulnerable to scratching. The epoxy coating turns it from artwork to functional artwork - it has some durability, but still needs a level of respect.
